puffy cheeks

Okay that's it I give up! I went out to give them their daily treats and the left side of Alvin's face is swollen yet again so I picked him up checked him out and nothing looks any different than it has been looking I've been making sure he gets daily baths inside even though they have 2 kiddie pools I change daily. I just don't get it. I squeezed it like I always do just to make sure it hasn't hardened and this time it bubbled up in his eye. I don't know what to do my husband wants to leave him alone and drain it when it gets bad I'm thinking it might be more humane to pts

Bubbled up is a great sign of infection, at least now we know for sure what we are dealing with.

Take two drops of Tylan and Put a drop in each eye, he has an infection, infections like that are hard to get rid of, put another drop in each nostril.  I would hold off on giving him any injections or orally because if you do that now, it may not work because you just gave him some not to long ago..
would you recommend trying to flush it now to see if maybe their is something in their causing it to flare up

Head infections are complicated by the fact that bones have all kinds of little alcoves and cubbies for bacteria to hide in - have you ever had a lingering sinus infection? I had a friend who fought a sinus infection for almost an entire year, under a doctor's care, trying this and then that. It finally got cleared up.

I think Lacrystol has its number, I encourage you to take a breath, hold onto the positive, not give up, just take a different tack. You both - you and the duck - have done so well so far, really. This is a tough nut to crack and I feel you are about to really get at it. And it takes such a long time sometimes.

Thank you for all the thoughts supports and answers trying to find the answers to the problem as usual he is in very high spirits and doesn't seem to feel bad at all. I think we will try the drops in his nose @ Lacrystol it's won't hurt his eyes to put the tylan in them? On a good note the little girls that came with him are comfortable enough with me they will come eat out of my hand Yay that makes me happy. He's not quite there yet though

That is a special feeling when they will get that close and take food from your hand. Good to read some smile-worthy news. I really think he is going to pull through if you can keep at it - I feel he is willing to do his part.

Just make sure he continues to eat and drink, we don't need another issue on our hands. LOL
