Are you personally friends with any vets. I know quite a few and if I ask very nicely they will look up in their book dosing information for metacam, which is a pain reliever.

To treat infection, you have to remove most of it first like with bumble foot or even an abscess.

I have been wondering if this isn't an abscess. Those like to recur and can be tough to get rid off.
