Pullet egg or just an unusual egg?

Sweet! I've never had a yolk from an egg that size. THAT would be a treat to see :)
she was only about 1/3 of the size as the others from the older hens but this picture was taken just before they went to help out a broody that the banty rooster wasn't doing his job. in 2 days she was starting to catch up in size , she's the smaller chick on the right 69501100_413268766208899_7695923710384930816_n.jpg
Next time I have new layers will post pictures, just don't usually use those eggs for eating as they are a heritage breed that is threatened

I've been doing a little internet research on them. Right now I think we're going to clean it and let it dry out so it can go in my girlfriend's printer's drawer.

Off topic, but can you post a picture of your Asian Blacks? I got mystery chicks from the feed store that were supposed to be Silver Laced Wyandottes … but clearly are not, and someone said they might be Asian Blacks.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure they're Asian Blacks, but it's the best ID I could make by looking at pictures on the internet. Our birds were a gift from a friend who got them from his "chicken guy". We knew we were getting two silkies, but we didn't know anything about the breeds of our other hens.
Characteristics that make me think that they're Asian Blacks are the brown feathers underneath on the chest and the iridescent green feathers on the back.

Pretty girl!! I ended up with something completely different - maybe just another hatchery's idea of Asian Blacks, (kind of how every hatchery has a different red sexlink with 100 names for it) ... but definitely NOT SLW. The white got more pronounced and the backs are beetle green/purple too.

Thanks! Now that you mention it, my two hens look a lot like Hoover's Hatchery black sex link. Well, I think they're lovely birds, whatever the breed! Best of luck with yours!
