hi y’all! I’m new to the community, grew up raising chickens but just now getting some of my own as an adult. I’ve always purchased from local feed stores and to date have not gotten a Rooster when buying pullets... but this one has me questioning if my lucky streak has come to an end. This was an ameraucana pullet, it has really thick legs, and to me even stands different than the other hens it’s with. We don’t want any roosters as I’m raising them for pets/eggs, so I’m hoping I’m wrong. Can you help me feel better about my little Dr. Seuss?
Realistically it's early for gender identification, but present feathering and coloration is relatively common in EE pullets.
