Pullet is throwing head back, doesn't get up and stretches legs out.

I started Abagail on the gallimycin today. She doesn't drink much so I used the gallimycin/water mixture to moisten her feed and she gobbled it all up. I did put the acidophillis in the mixture too but just read somewhere on this site that it shouldn't be ingested together so I will sprinkle it on her food at different times. Is the vit E and B okay to mix with the gallimycin? Or should I combine it with the acidophillis? I feed her five to six times a day so I could do it all separately but I usually give the meds in the morning when she is super hungry.

On another note...I think she might have a growth on her tail. I tried to check one of my other chickens' anatomy but there were too many feathers so I couldn't tell. I will try and get a good pic and post it. Maybe this has something to do with her inability to walk or maybe it is normal and I don't what I'm talking about. I tried to find a pic of chicken anatomy none had what I was looking for.

Gallimycin should be on its own. E and B should be in the food or in the mouth, never in the water -E is oil. So just gallimycin in the water, always. The rest of the stuff either in the mash or, in case of the vitamins, in the mouth if she doesn't eat all of her mash.

On her tail, is it above her tail? Near the base of her spine? It might be the preening (uropygial) gland. Sometimes they can get impacted or infected.

Here is the pics of the the thing above Abby's tail. What do you think it is?

It won't let me see it - but does it look a bit like this?

The little bitty picture at the top of the chicken...the blue dot near his tail is where this is located.

Here are the pics again...hope it works this time. The pics aren't that great but hopefully you might be able to see what it is.

You actually hit it right on the head. Her preening gland is a bit impacted. Usually using compresses of rags soaked with warm epsom water helps this. You'll have to do it a few times.
