just wondering if its a pullet or cockerel

Looking boyish to me with how those tail feathers are curving and the red in the hackles. EE's can be tricky though. How old is s/he?

x2 and it looks young, maybe 3 weeks. All mine that looked that way as chicks turned out to be roos

Sure wish I had a close-up of the hackle feathers. If they have rounded ends then it is likely a female. Pointed ends? Male.

I can't really tell clearly from the photos, but they look rounded to me.

If it's as young as I think it is, it won't have the pointed roo feathers yet

My EE roos didn't have true pointed hackle and saddles until 3 months or so.

its 20+ days old im gonna check to see if the hackle feathers are pointed

Hi,

it reminds me in looks of two EE chicks I got in the Spring that both were roosters.
