Pullet or cockerel?

I have 3 of these barred rocks.
Are these pullets or cockerels. Either 3 or 4 months old. I cant remember 😂🤦‍♀️

I've been told cockerels since they were babies but I'm beginning to think they are actually all pullets. 🤦‍♀️😂
 
Pullets.
The black barring is too wide to be cockerels.
This is what a 3-4 month old PBR cockerel would look like. Much more white and not as much black.

See that is what stumps me too!
They are way too dark to be cockerels.
Barred are always more grey/white?
 
Look at their legs, a rooster develops a claw/toe slightly above the rest in the back of their leg to gain traction when breeding. At four months this may not be developing yet. Some say you can tell by the size of their combs or waddles, but that's a fallacy.
 
Either they are not cockerels, or they are not actually pure Barred Rocks. Black Sexlink males could have the wide black bars like that, though--just like Barred Rock pullets do. (I can't decide whether I think the birds in the picture are pullets or cockerels.)
