Pullet or Cockerel?

if they all have the same chubby build as these two they're all cornish x. might want to read up on them as they were bred for meat so they have a whole set of health issues. unfortunate if they were intended for pets/layers but great if you wanted some to raise for meat...

Oh well darn. xD We did buy them for layers.

Well there's always the chance that they are super chickens LOL. But for real supposedly Cochins are not that great of layers but man were bringing in about two dozen eggs a day and most of them are from our 18 Cochin hens, the rest from the Banties! Best of luck to you!!

well, you dont need these guys then, if they did make it to laying age (they often have heart and leg problems), the feed conversion would be horrible, they are made to eat, then be eaten. If they gain weight too fast, they can get broken legs and can also have heart attacks. There is a meat bird section you can read up on. I would call the guy you bought them from and ask for a refund/trade.

to the guy that sold them to you, some people dont know(or care) what they are really selling, they know a few different breeds, usually white leghorns, RIRs, and "Domineckers", and if I bird looks remotly like one of these breeds, when thats what they call them. I see alot of people calling red sexlinks RIRs, easter eggers "Americanas", and barred rocks "domineckers"

That is terrible he did that to you! Yeah meat birds which are what you have, will die if they are not butchered. They are not kept as egg layers. Leghorns are a very light weight bird. I also would take them back to him and get a refund. Althought that will not reimburse you for the feed you have put into them. Can you butcher a chicken? If so you may want to grow them up and butcher them for the table. Then start over with an egg laying breed.

I would love to take them back but the guy won't take them q.q. I'm actually the wimpiest person in the world to try to butcher them. But I'm sure somebody else in my family would do it.

I can't kill my birds either but I can dress them, pluck and gut. I think I could probably butcher a duck though cause they have much longer necks and I am not as afraid of missing! lol Anyway my Dad and Older brother do the killing part!
