That's why I posted my 7 week cockerel to compare. But I only know my own birds really.

Id say this is a really fast developing guy here, Chipmunk. That is a tremendous head piece for such a young cockerel.

I went to rural King for something else and they had a bin of "assorted pullets-egg layers" for $1 each because someone "mixed batches" and surprised my reluctant husband. so I got 2 of each color and we ended up with maran, Easter egger and (best guess) gold comet.

Oh neat! So we may just have to wait and see if they lay green or brown! Lol

Very, very interesting.

@fluffycrow what do you think? Strange if they are a SL because of how white the one that appears to be a pullet is. Then, rhe one that MAY BE a cockerel ( this second picture makes me doubt further) has pullet SL feathers. This leads me to think they may in fact be what chipmunk suggests, a SGE. Wouldn't be much if a mystery in my book it wasn't for that white one.

Probably gonna need better photos than that, of the individual bird's full body. From what I can gather from this photo though, I'd say both are pullets. RSL's comb up pretty fast sometimes. Is it possible they are SGE's? Yes, and only time will tell
