These are some of the best pictures I think I have ever seen posted. Absolutely Fantastic good taking them ! ! !

Anybody who has ever tried to take pictures - - - - knows getting good shots of chickens is a Challenege.

I THINK most of your birds are pullets. I was concerned about - - -

Nugget and Cupcake.

Cupcake is confusing me - - - the saddle feathers say girl - - - but the hackle area says boy.
She does have the coloring of an EE girl.

Nugget is an inbetweens. Not real rounded but not real pointy either.

Thanks for the compliment. It's a Canon Powershot A75 and is over ten years old. Pics are on the highest setting (2mpx) and then I crop with photoshop. Plus, I just take a TON of pics. I figure, deleting the cruddy ones doesn't cost anything. I also was a photographer in high school and like taking pics.

Yeah, I know I'm being obsessive. Part of the reason is that the person who sold me the birds told me that if any were roosters, that he would exchange them for pullets. So I want to do it earlier rather than later. I'm really surprised (honestly) that almost all of them are pullets. Are y'all SURE that Bea Arthur (the darker GLW with the single comb) is a pullet? And Betty White (the rose combed lighter GLW) is pullet also? I'm thrilled that Bea Arthur is likely female. She's got just GORGEOUS colouring.

Nugget and Cupcake were both late feathering. And I've been told that late feathering is a good (but not conclusive) indication of rooster in EEs. Though they are all such mutts that it is hard to tell. I absolutely love Cupcake and if s/he ends up a rooster, I'll keep him. He is the one with the best personality. My favourite behaviour is that he walks out of the coop, finds a big patch of sunlight, and lays down ON HIS SIDE and stretches out his feet and wings and lies there like dead. Yeah, he's a freak. The others just sun normally, but Cupcake's got to R-E-A-L-L-Y stretch out.

I think if you have to really worry about any it would be the rose comb GLW. The single comb GLW looks just like my SLW did at her age with the comb and wattle development. My SLW (single comb) has the biggest comb out of my birds (BA, SLW, GLW, and EE).
