pullet stopped laying

My wheatie marans pullet, age 8 months, started laying at 28 weeks and continued to lay nice brown eggs until 2 week ago. She is big and beautiful and has a huge fluffy butt. She doesn't appear in distress and I felt her to see if there are eggs stuck in her.

I am inclined to think with the days getting shorter and it is cold her (CT) that she is taking a break.

Any thoughts?

I have two that have done that in the last few weeks. Both very healthy but no eggs. We are down to one egg a day from 4 chickens. Can't wait for them to start laying again!

I'm down to between 0-2 eggs/day from 7 girls..... Free loaders! 2 are going through a slight molt, the ee and BA are laying consistantly and the rest are on vacation.... I don't think the welsummer has even started yet....

Good thing they're cute!
