Pullet with extremely swollen eye! Help needed!

Pics
I have been advised by a very knowledgeable friend to stay away from this pullets be the other chickens on the farm because they are most likely carriers of infectious Coryza and I will not risk my flock. It may seem harsh but my chickens come first. I will be taking steps and upping my bio security for my flock.
:thumbsup

I've been trying to tell you that chicken diseases are nasty and you should avoid them if at all possible.

I am glad to hear this.
(The part about you NOT taking this bird home is music to my ears)

A bit of an update for anyone still following this thread...
The Red Sex Link’s eye is still really swollen. The mean Black Sex Link cockerel with the gurgle went to auction this Tuesday (not my decision to send him). A lady from the USDA came in and took blood samples and throat swabs from 30 birds to check for Avian Influenza and New Castle disease. All of the chickens have started to sneeze and gurgle a bit so whatever the first pullet has is now spreading. I asked the USDA lady if they screen for respiratory diseases but she said they aren’t and are only screening for AI & New Castle. There has been an AI outbreak in California she said.

That sounds like a nightmare. Reading they sent that cockerel to auction anyway is a really good reminder why birds need to be quarantined for at least a month. I hope all of your personal flock is still well!
That cockerel should never have been sent to auction. Thank God my personal flock is doing fine. I make sure to shower and change clothes when I get home from the farm.

Lol, I think we all said that back at the start of this thread. ;) Y
