I will apologize for this long thread but I think the back story is needed...
I have a 15 week old Exchequer Leghorn named Coco who seems to be not feeling well. 2 weeks ago I lost 5 of my flock to a predator. I originally had 1 Speckled Sussex, 2 Exchequer Leghorns, 7 Barred Rock pullets and 1 Barred Rock Rooster -- they were all around 12 - 13 weeks old. We lost the roo, speckled sussex, 1 exchequer leghorn and 2 barred rock pullets. Coco was originally missing too but she was terrified, hiding in the woods and came back at roosting time.
We have a local breeder and obtain 5 more chickens that same week. We purchased 4 roughly 10-12 week pullets and one roo around the same age.
The roo has been nipping all the younger hens in the back of the neck sometimes even removing feathers. The just yelp a little and get out his way. However, he keeps chasing my 15 week old Exchequer leghorn and removing clumps of feathers from her neck. She is terrified and runs and flies around screaming to get away from him. She has not been eating or drinking for a few days. I thought she maybe was depressed over losing her friends.
I have been giving her Corid (as well as the rest of the flock) and Denagard (antibiotic) after some weird frothy bright yellow and dark green poos. I thought maybe she picked something up from the new chicks. I have also been syringing the corid and denagard mixtures into her mouth as well as some Pedialyte every hour to two hours for the last two days. She won't even come out of the coop at this point. She just sleeps.
I have the roo confined as of today. I am really worried about her and looking for suggestions. I am attaching a few pic of her from this morning and poops from yesterday and today.
