I hatched 19 chicks on June 11th and still can't gender ID these two. The dad was a Black Australorp and moms were Red Sex Link or Black Sex Link. Of the 19 I have 9 confirmed roos and most were much slower to develop their saddle and hackle feathers. One has a paler face and tiny wattles but both look to me like they have hackles and saddles developing. I've had some picking so they have tail feathers missing, so can't confirm from that.
I'm trying to rehome 8 of 9 roos but will hold onto these two if they're actually pullets!
