We had a blast carvin pumpkins last weekend - we baked the seeds- and no one wants to eat them. Im not fond of them, but the kids said they wanted them... Now they're sitting on the counter. Can the chickens have pumpkin seeds? I didn't add any salt. (maybe that's why the kids don't want them...

THanks!

Since you didn't salt them....they'll make a great treat.

Next time you pumkin carve....just set out the innerd you scrape out---they'll have a good healthy feast!!!!

When I go to the pumkin patches...I ask if they have any that are too blemished to sell---and when I tell them it's for my chickens, I almost always leave with more than I intended to use!!!! But, I break one at a time over a few days/weeks and the chickens go absolutely nuts over them!

wow, thats great to know! i sell pumpkins with my husband and i was just wondering that the other day, if chickens can eat pumpkins or not.
I bet they'll be pleased, seeing as they have been beside the pumpkins for the last couple weeks.
cant wait to see their reaction!
