I know they will eat it learned that the hard way, lol. Not sure if its good for them, but mine were fine after the ate the dry dog food I put out one day. Maybe start a new topic, people might not see your question here.

Kalaim -- How many chickens do you have? I've noticed that my 28 6-week-olds are WAY more adventurous eaters than my 7 10-week-olds. (They're in separate coops right now.) I have this theory that chickens have some sorta 'collective intelligence' -- having more chickens in one place makes them more adventurous, because there's more likely to be one who tries something new, and then they all jump on the bandwagon and before you know it you have a mob competing to eat all of the pumpkin.
Anyway, just a theory... the more, the crazier!!

As they are getting older now, they are getting more into treats!

They like the mini pumpkins if I split them in half and they will pick out the seeds and gooey stuff, that is about it.

Today I gutted 5 pumpkins so I gave some of the goo to them, but they weren't too thrilled with just the goo, they wanted the seeds.

They are loving grapes, cottage cheese, rice.

I have 6 chickens all together, 3 bantams and 3 regular.

I tossed down some quartered apples and a halved acorn squash this afternoon and the apples are gone and the acorn squash is a mere shell. They actually prefer spaghetti squash to their kibble!

We carved pumpkins tonight so I tried some of the insides/seeds with our chicks. They couldnt get enough! Of course mine like about anything.
