Pup choice? Male or Female?

I have one of each!!!! I enjoy the qualities of both!

Both are different and special in their own ways. Sam my male, is a shetland sheepdog, he gets angry sometimes and growls. that is because he is afterall an old man at 13 years old. We also have a female shetland sheepdog, that is 11 months old, shes a sweetheart. When sam (go's to rainbow bridge) I will get a male shetlie. They are good for eachother. guess thats why at my household.

Of the 15 there is only one who raises pluperfect h*ll if a fox steps on the property. Old Berta Brown hates a fox. If you want to here noise, you should have been here the night a bear went through the back yard. Enough of this hijack. Sorry.

I like male dogs in general more. The males seem more mellow and easy going, the girls are just prone to being nervous and more one-person dogs. I have had many foster dogs and currently have 1 male and 1 female. The girls have always been my trouble makers and the boy is my sweet pile of mush. I generally avoid having same sex pairs as they are less likely to get along. I considered adding a 3rd dog, a female, but it added tension and my girl got jealous when the male was playing with the new girl... such drama.
