Puppy may be poisoned!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!

Oh...sorry if I came across a gruff I didnt mean to I just re-read some of my posts. I am on emergency call tonight with the vet clinic I work for and am tired. I'm sorry, I wouldn't worry yet you don't know all the facts hopefully she will be a okay. Even tomorrow IV fluids would help if her kidneys have been affected puppy bodies can be quite resilient. Unfortunately as I said it would have to be on a Sunday and quite a drive, and an emergency fee. Please keep us updated and wish him luck for us.

whats vitamin K supposed to do?...help the kidneys?..are you supposed to use it at the time of ingestion?...or is it to help the "after" affects of posion?..please let me know..thanks...how is she?...also..i am sure you can get it at walmart...call them and ask if they have it...

pointless, They would probably give injectable still tomorrow (maybe) but without the fluids (iv fluids) you might as well give her a tic tac.

It is supposed to help with the anti-coagulent effects of rat poisen.
Edited: Again timing is everything it should be given (injection NOT by stomach) within 3 hours of ingest.

Had the same problem with our dog. There is an emergency 24/7 phone number on the D-con package what we have called first. We gave them all the information (breed, weight of dog, how much she ate of the poisson) and in our case they assured us, that the amount was way too small to do any harm. It seems that your puppy ate even less than our dog, so hopefully the puppy will be OK, but first thing I would do is call the D-con emergency line or your local poison center, before putting any other stuff in that poor little doggie. You can actually really make humans or animals sick by giving them salt water or any other home remedies, especially, if the poison has been already absorbed.

Okay so:

Get to a vet clinic tomorrow

Do not give the puppy anything aside from normal (water food)

It is a good idea to have your brother call the dcon emergency line. Still the puppy needs to see a vet.

I can't find the number on their website...do you have it by any chance??? They said vit K can't be bought over the counter, so that's a no go. Other than that, there are several foods, like spinach and kale, that have vit K, but I don't know if it would do any good.
