Puppy with ducks.

I don’t have any advice but I think someone should start a “dogs and ducks” photo thread because these pictures are melting my heart!

I just got a new puppy too, named it Rain so the ducks would like it.



Puppy does not seem to notice the ducks...they notice puppy for sure.

Half way through my training Rain on our perimeter, the crew joined us, early morning fence bugs with an armed escort was to much to resist.

I think they will at least tolerate Rain as long as she remains aloof, my job as trainer is to be aloof while she is with me, if I greet my ducks she notices and I want her to be eyes on me and job at hand.

The next year will be fun.

I had the pekin out with my good golden and she actually was nipping him on his back end, then it looked like she was trying to climb on top of him. I have no clue what the duck was trying to do, but he took the nips and looked at her like she was crazy. I did move her away from him because I know those nips can hurt.

So you made the mistake of asking for puppy pictures. I couldn't choose. They are only five weeks old so we do not get him for three more weeks.

GUYS... I REALLY don't need this thread I have had puppy fever like crazy lately and I already have two dogs! Now I'm having puppies AND ducks thrown in my face? I started off with two. Then got two more ducklings. Then another one needed a new home. Why stop now right? Oh and my one dog is a 90 lbs Doberman German shepherd mix he is lovely but a total handful!! Ahh

Our puppy, Brees (Breeze), came home with us today. He immediately took over the duck’s smallest pool. The ducks watched him from a distance, wearily. Finally, they, sort of, met.
