I recently got two, 2 month old Barred Rock Pullets, and was wondering if they truly are Barred Rock?

Compared to my other two 5 month old Barred Rock chickens, my two month olds have lighter legs. They do have the dark splashing though…So, I believe that they are Barred Rock, just maybe have a genetic error in their legs?

They look to be pure Barred Rocks. They have the proper yellow legs for the breed. They might just be less vibrant due to diet :) The darker wash is a trait in female Barred Rocks and totally normal

Okay thanks, was just wondering!

I have actually been enriching their diet, since I felt that they needed some extra vitamins and such.
Thanks again!
