I was told that helps protect the eggs if they were xrayed. I will look into it more. I have bought, on at least 3 occassions, eggs that were wrapped in foil after they were wrapped in bubble wrap and then had a 73% or better hatch rate. If someone out there knows that this is not a good practice PLEASE let us know.

I would assume the foil would help protect them from x-rays. I haven't ever heard of wrapping them in foil, but I think it would be okay. Might set off metal detectors, but they would be safe from x-rays too.

Oh sorry I didnt make myself clear. The eggs are only bubble wrapped, the egg cartons are bubble wrapped and wrapped in the foil.

i got my eggs, great packing job, and thanks for the coffee. i told my girlfriend, i had to work for the beads.... lol
even after the extended stay with the post office, i hope we have some luck. it would be a good test.
