Hi, I’m Emma, I’m new here!
Yesterday I picked up some Orpington chicks, I would like to know if purebred Orpington chicks had this kind of wing pattern? I didn’t think they did.. well the other chicks don’t anyway.
Sorry the photos aren’t the best, I haven’t got a full photo of its wings yet I’ll take one tomorrow.
The only other chickens they had were light and lavender Sussex.. oh and also Guinea fowl. My guess is this chick is about 4 weeks old but I could be wrong. I’ve also noticed it almost has no comb and it’s head is shaped a lot different to the rest of the chicks..
Thanks Emma

I see a slight crest as well as the off coloring and comb. I wonder...

You're in Australia? I'm thinking Araucana.

BTW, I'd call and ask if they had an Araucana rooster at some point. They might have had birds they sold off that you didn't see or he could have literally flown over the fence from a neighboring farm. It happens. The only other explanation would be that they were hatching purchased eggs or re-selling chicks.
