Purebred Silver Laced Wyandotte?

I see what you mean. He's a handsome bird, and I AM desperate for a roo, but I'm a HUGE believer in only breeding the best examples of the breed.

RP: I don't have him yet, so I've no idea what hes being fed right now.

Katy: That's what I plan to do! Thanks!

Phooey. Now I have to go back to searching for a roo.

All of the wyandottes in the picture seem to have a smutty gold about them. Could be a high corn content, as even the females seem to show off color.

That's very true, they do... Hmmm. I've declined though. I want my girls to have a really GOOD boyfriend, to make pretty babies!!

She just responded to my email syaing that she understood, but she wanted to assure me that the father came from show stock (that's father behind him in the pic...)

I feel bad that I am doubting her, but.....

It's so hard to know. All I can go on is what i see!!

Too bad I don't ship birds or that you aren't closer....I've got a couple of very nice SLW roos that are going to be needing a home one of these days.

Oh My, can't I persuade you to ship him?? It's getting cooler and he is GORGEOUS.... it's so hard to find a good example down here.... I love your birds, especially the one in your avatar.

Or maybe we need to put together a chicken-train, like the rescue organisations do!!

If those birds came from show stock, and are winning, I shudder to think what the champions are...

I had the same thought!
