Purina flock raiser...not sure if medicated.

I do see one difference.....mine has "Phytase (A. Oryzae) at 227 FYT/LB.....whatever that means.

Looking more the ingredients are different......very interesting.
Hmmm that is strange. I took a quick glance at the ingredients but yep deff are different. Hmm. I went to tractor to supply to find the one you had but they didn’t have that one in stock and said they are similar. Sigh. Guess I have to work with what I got right now and I’ll order yours if this doesn’t work out! :)

The nutritional beakdown is the same.
I just find it interesting that the ingredients vary slightly.

looked up that Phytase stuff.....apparently it is a digestive aid.

Oh okay that is very interesting! I’ll keep an eye out but I’m glad you provided a picture of yours so I know what to be on the lookout for if I need it. I’d prefer your bag but didnt seem like any TSC within even a 50 mile radius of me had it unfortunately.

Straight up I have no idea which is better. These are my first ducks in 20+ years and back then I bought from a feed mill that made their own. It's all new to me too.

I think they are skinnier. I will grind them up but it's not hard at all. I can just use a mortar and pestle to do it. It won't be long as fast as they grow that they will be able to just take in the pellets. @Runner duck mom did for her ducklings in the fall. Maybe she'll chime in but I don't think she had to do it for long.
I did grind them up for them for a few weeks. We tried the mortar and pestle but the pellets were super hard so we ended up switching to an electric grinder, super quick :)

Always check the dates of feed especially given the current demand for poultry and feed. Our local TSC stores have feed that dates back to 2019 in some cases and some of the newbies (customers and employees) I have interacted with there didn't even realize feed has a shelf life. The store managers probably don't care for me enlightening folks.
