Purity in Goldens

It is difficult to tell by pictures, lighting, quality of the photo, etc.. all make for best guess but the hens in these pics "look" like they have grey or blueish legs....thus, they would be a cross, have Amherst blood in their past. At the same time they don't have the "rust" color feathers on their crest that a Amherst hen will have. Golden hens will have olive to yellowish legs. I believe your right, they look like they are starting to molt.
The pic of your hen looks good, she even has the "flakes" of gold feathers on her crest (top of the head).
That's right, is truly difficult. About the legs, is something made me think when you wrote :(. However, her head and tails are so golden alike i think. Probably the legs may be also by a light effect of photo, because the female is down, if you look well, you can see her right leg is like blue but the right one is olive.
I will share more photos in some months to show my aviary completed (i'm still working in new pens), so we will see. However, I think he will turn beautiful :D
Thank you so much for your comments!!

PD: breeding season is close to start at Costa Rica (it ussually starts at feb-mar by some friends information) so will try to do my best!
