purple eggs???

The Croad Langshans are quite rare. The woman in Ohio who sells them is named Judy Gaines. I just ordered some and they should be here tomorrow. Her prices are quite reasonable. $10 per bird. Shipping was a lot but it always is. I can't tell you how the order will turn out or the birds yet. good luck.

I have some purple egg layers. They are called croad langshans. They actually lay brown eggs with a purple bloom. Some come out looking pink. I don't ship but am hoping to sell some chicks at the Chicken Stock 2015 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Sorry, I know that won't help you much. I know there are a small few that will ship them, if you can find them that is. I bought mine through feather hills farms.

can you post a picture of their eggs? I would love to see

How did the lavender egg project turn out? Could I use an EE rooster that lays blue with a Welsummer hen to get purplish eggs?
