I have 50+ in mine, but I think a lot of my Ameraucana eggs are infertile

Rooster may have been too young, or not aggressive enough. The girls don't squat for him, but he dances and does everything to impress.
I'm going to use the spare rooster if he doesn't start getting at those girls!

Here is hoping for fertile eggs. You never know those young ones are sneaky some times. We have a young roo and a head roo in the same pen and I thought the young one wasn't getting to any of the girls. I did a small hatch of about 6 and when they were born it was obvious every baby turned out to be the young ones babies. I thought all he was doing was dancing but, he was obviously getting him some girls when the head roo and I weren't looking.

He is a stud. 6 out of 6 were his.

Yeah, started small, lol. I put in 12 the. Figured.... "well some
Won't be fertile and some will die and some will be roosters... Soo 40 eggs should net me 10-15 pullets?

This is how my hatches have been going. If the eggs are from home I am getting a 80 to 90 percent hatch rate. With mail ordered eggs seems I am getting about 50 percent. I guess the mail travel is rough on them. Where did you get your eggs? When I use my own eggs I end up with mostly boys for some reason. I have even got as much a 100 percent hatch all boys. I thought maybe my roo only shoots boys but, then I hatched out a batch for someone else and they got 5 girls 1 boy. So it turns out it is just my bad roo luck. He he!!!!! So I guess you just never know what you will get. Well here is hoping for a good hatch.

Hi happy hatching. You will be a little bit behind but, chances are some people will join in with your hatch date. Join in and have fun. :0)

Added even more yesterday. I asked my friend to borrow her incubator so my first lockdown doesn't bother the eggs that won't be ready to hatch for another few days.
What kind of eggs are you setting. You might have already said but, I missed it. :0)
