I had to put down my cat Puff-n-Stuff a couple of years ago. The kids called her Pooky. It was so sad. I knew when we buried her that we'd be moving in a couple of years, so we planted Asiatic Lillies over her grave. We called them Puff's Plants, and took the corms with us to the new house. Now we still think of Puff every time those flowers bloom. And they bloom in July, the month she died.
You gave your cat a good life and lots of love, Rosyposy. That's all any of us can ask for in this world. It hurts to let them go, but we're better off for all that we let in (to paraphrase an Indigo Girls song).
