putting chicks with flock

At what age should i put my chicks with the rest of the flock? I got 5 new chickens over the weekend and my older hens want to peck the snot out of the new ones when will they stop this or will they? The new ones are 2 black silky's 1 white silky and 2 buff orfingtons which are the oldest of all the birds " they were supposed to be good steady layers" per guy i bought them from at chic days at tractor supply over weekend.
