Putting eggs in the bator on July 25, does anyone wanna hatch along???

those are so beautiful but i don't like the white one a lot i like colors in my flock but they are still pretty and nice big eggs
I agree about liking a colorful flock. Nothings is greater then looking out the window at a beautiful array of colors free ranging. I like them because, they are just sooo bright. When I first started having birds I didn't think I liked white ones but, I have discovered that a really pretty white bright bird can make a really nice addition to a very colorful flock. I see my neighbors white brahmas free ranging with her buff Orpingtons all the time and I am always in awe of just how beautiful they are. Its crazy I never thought I would like a white bird, but I do. :0)

I sure hope so, 'cause I just added a NH cockerel and two silver-laced wyandotte hens to my Meyer hatchery order! (I'm only 20 miles from them; picking up on Mon 20th -- eggs here are due to hatch the 18th). So now that makes:

8 mutts in incubator, all still looking good!
2 australorps, 2 SLW, 2 Columbian wyandotte, 1 speckled sussex and one NH roo on order total 8
1 white rock, 3 barred rocks, 2 partridge rocks, 2 NH hens, 1 cuckoo marans roo in coop total 9
______
25 chickens

ACK!!! What am I doing with 25 chickens???! I only eat three eggs a day.

The dreaded chicken math strike again!

Thanks, I know I am sooooo excited. Puffs of very white snow thats a good way to describe them.

That must be why I'm a writer... hee! They are absolutely beautiful, though. While I was poking around the Meyer hatchery listings I looked for some, but they don't seem to carry them. Thank heavens! Bad enough they suddenly had Silver-laced wyandottes available -- which meant, of course, that I had to get two

(Not that I would expect hatchery birds to look anything like the lovelies you've got eggs from! One of these years I'd like to upgrade the quality of my stock -- not that the MH stock is bad; in fact, all my current birds came from there and they're pretty sturdy.)

NO! No, darn it! No more chickens! Not at least till I figure out what to do with the 25 I suddenly have pending

Cluckitall- as far as I know mine are good. I'm trying to leave my broody alone(she's not in the best mood :) Thanks for asking. My eggs are mutts that I got from a friend the same day they were laid so I hope that they are good. I'm trying to resist candling them but the next time I see the.helpful taking a bathrrom break I'm going to have a peek.

Did you get to take a peek, thejohnsie??? I tell ya, I'm almost as eager for everyone else's new babies as I am for mine!
