Putting eggs in the bator on July 25, does anyone wanna hatch along???

I am locking it down at 7pm Saturday. I am leaving work now to go home and plant new winter wheat, winter Rye and some clover for the flock. I checked eggs last night 18 left in they look great. Hoping for a good hatch. Good luck to everyone coffee will be my friend for the next few days. This is my 6 month old Buff Orpington Jack.

I'm going into lockdown Saturday night too.

AUGGGHHH! I'm doing it again! Just found a dozen lovely, lovely coronation sussex eggs... NONONONONO! So I figured I'd pop on over here and get my chicken fix that way

Lockdown approaching!!! Yeah, I'm still aiming for late Tuesday/early Wednesday lockdown -- hatch should be on the 18th. Still have that one egg with the teeny little air sac that has me worried, but all the rest look good, so...

Ranny, what a handsome Orp roo!!!

I lockdown on Monday too, though with the Seramas I am likely to get an early hatch...last time they hatched at 19 days rather than 21. I went to put in water and candle in preparation for lockdown then, and I had internal pips (on the 18th day). Sooooooo we'll see what happens this time around. I have ended up with 3 which are still good. One of the 4 has quit I am almost 100% sure. But that's ok...I'll have more eggs sent out to me on the 20th :)

See, there's an upside to being the late one in the group -- I'll have lots of cute little chick pics to distract me during my last day or two of hatching!!!

If you really like that rooster have you did the things you are suppose to do to teach him your the boss not him. If you haven't I can tell you how to do that. I have three other roos and they all treat me with respect. I just can't teach the one cause, I think he isn't sure every time go in if its really me or not so he goes into attack mode. Also I just think he has a few screws loose. He was born with a vitamin deficiency and it caused him a lot of problems.

Well, to some extent. I don't back down from him, I let him have it when he blasts me, every so often I hike him under my arm and tote him around in the most undignified manner... He just gets a bee in his bonnet every so often. It's annoying. I'd say he's a good roo, but I don't necessarily like him much
