Putting my chickens and ducks together?

I have 6 pullets and 2 pekin ducks and I was wondering if it was okay to put them together?

Yes it is OK. The ducks might be very messy though.

Funny you should ask......I am on here looking for different help but at one time asked the same question you have posed. I have two Pekin ducks and 14 hens...all brooded together since 1 day old. The past 5 months have had no issues, moving them from the in-house brooder to a glorious outside run and coop. I learned quickly (because they are sooo messy) to give them separate living quarters to sleep but other than that have had ZERO issues. But now at almost 5 months old, I have discovered my Pekins are both drakes and one is violently trying to attack/mate with some of my hens. My choices are to re-home the ducks or build a separate run.....and since this has all come to light gradually over the past few days I have not decided yet but have them separated temporarily. Hopefully you have no issues but be aware it is possible. Drakes (as I am reading here tonight) are NOT always hen friendly and this is somewhat common. Good Luck!
