I have a 3 month or so old cochin pullet in my silkie pen who needs to go into the cochin pen. I tried putting her in with them for one day and they pecked her so badly I had to take her out. Any suggestions? There are two hens and a roo and the hens I think are doing the pecking. I thought they would get use to her. But they bloodied her up pretty bad. Thanks for any help.

Poor thing. You'll have to wait until she heals up to try again. Any blood or injuries will just make the older ones peck more.

If you have a small dog cage, pet her in that & then put the cage in the pen. It will give everybody time to get used to seeing each other.

After that, some supervised "play dates" and when you feel things are going well, then it should be ok. They may pick on her a little to establish pecking order, but they shouldn't injure her......

    Hope it goes well!
