PVC pipe feeder... GOt the idea from BYC... Here is mine (PIC)

It works great. In this picture, the door to the Silkie Chalet is open. But once closed, the feeder is just at the right height for them to eat, but not get their feet into it. They don't waste as much. Fill it up and it last 4-5 days.

What a cool idea! My hubby would love to build me something like that. He gives me the evil eye every time I come home from the feed store with something for the chicks he thinks he could have built cheaper.

I would probably have him use threaded pipe at the top so I could put a lid on it to keep the moisture out, but other than that I love it.

I got my idea from Tori (Mrs A K Bird Brain). She used black pipe and our store had the 4" white. Might be the same size as yours. Did you know you can get a screw-on cap for that pipe? I like it too, saves me bringing one more thing to the coop each day. Ours starts in the feed room, goes through the wall and into the coop.
