Pyncheons

I don't see any breeds listed on Privett's site.

I find it pretty doubtful that they have pyncheons, but anything is possible. I only know of about 5 serious breeders with this breed who are working on them, in the entire country. For Privett to have anything in quantity and proper breed for a hatchery just seems unlikely to me.

Like I said.......I know nothing about privett. I didin't know if they were a "regular" hatchery, or if they did conservation/heritage breeds.

hey hinkjc.......know anyone I can get some hatching eggs from? I am in NH, I would love chicks or adults but don't like to ship.....can travel to Maine, VT or Mass easily. I know they are far and few between, any ideas?
thanks,
Alicia

We offer hatching eggs when they're laying. Ours are currently laying well and we are filling orders every few days. You can see more info on my web site.

I did have a look-see in between cooking dinner and doing chores.......I will definatly get in touch with you. Right now, i think it is still too cold here for shipping, but another month we should be good. What is thier incubation time? 21 or shorter? and same heat/humidity as other eggs, I assume? I like to use a broody to set my eggs, but always set up the brooder in case (good old hens sometimes change thier minds...how DARE they! LOL)

Privett hatchery is in New Mexico, their birds aren't high quality. I ordered BO from them and they were all shapes and sizes! One of my BO hen is as big as the roosters!!! But, all the birds I've gotten from them are really friendly!
