Yep, little itty bitty wings that are pretty much useless aside from looking cute, lol.
The picture with them both together, Ciara is laying down and Desi is sittingShe was laying there and he went over to join her, and then managed to sit down in such a way that he had his foot up on her back. She didn't care.
They gave me an example of how they stomp animals to death. Unfortunately they gave me this example on two Call ducks that I added to the pen. I was worried the other ducks would give them a hard time. What I should have been worried about apparently was that the emus would somehow know they were different from all the other ducks. So, instead of putting them right in, now they have to have a slow intro with them in another pen for a week, sigh.
They killed a couple ducks??![]()
Nah, ducks were fine. I grabbed them as soon as the emus started chasing them and indicated they were serious about wanting to stomp them.
Oh good!![]()
That is so cool.
Here's some stuff from the rest of that exhibit:
They had a life size display of various bird-like dinosaurs:

Along with some fossils. This one is a coelophysis:

An archeopteryx, check out the feather impressions:

And here's its skull compared to a crow skull:

And my favorites, a velociraptor skeleten and skull, part of a display debunking the portrayal of velociraptors in Jurassic Park (you all know how I feel about that, lol):

This guy was a tiny pterosaur, which they only had to point out that these were neither dinosaurs nor relatives of birds:
