Good news! One of the first three AC eggs I set is actually developing! The other two I'm pretty sure are a bust though. But, the next two are both developing, and I set three more eggs today.

I'm actually not sure, lol. There are some of each in the pen. Could be a new girl, or it could be an older girl that I didn't cull this year.

Thanks! Those were my first AC (ayam cemani) eggs of the year, so I'm glad one of them is coming along. I'm giving the others a couple more days just in case but then I'll toss them. The incubator is slowly filling up!

Everybody meet egg C!

Egg C is joining us from Maryland. It's a whopper of an egg, weighing in at 674.3 grams, making it the biggest egg I have by far.

Now, three eggs might fit in the Brinsea but four definitely don't. So, I would like to introduce you to the Emubator:

It's made from a 10 gallon aquarium, insulated with foam insulation, has a lexan panel for the lid, and is run by an Incukit Mini that keeps it perfectly at 97.2 degrees.

Nobody get excited about that day count; it is definitely very wrong, lol.
