The little cooler they'll sell you for $5 to better keep them cool is totally worth it. It's a nice little cooler and works so well when I opened it up the ice packs were still even partially frozen.

My guy isn't quite old enough yet so I have time to pick a week when it's not so hot here. I'm going to throw in some cat vaccines also. Here he is trying to eat my phone.

He's such a cutie! Have you guys figured out if you can keep him yet?

Yep, overnight and the cooler. They really don't recommend you ever do anything other than overnight on the vaccines.

Thanks! Those were the first two out I suspect when I get home the rest will be ready so I'll have about nine more to finish assisting with their hatches.

Not to get off topic, but curious...do calls usually need assistance with hatching? (I know about as much about calls as I do about emus )

Oh yes. They are bred on purpose to have short necks and short beaks, and round little bodies. That equals a lot of trouble reaching the shell to pip and zip. So they need help to hatch or they die.

Ones that aren't as good quality, not so close to the standard, might be able to hatch well on their own because they have longer beaks and necks, but these are breeder quality so they have trouble.
