Here that would be a call to the police and the fire department...:lau Fire works are illegal most places.... too much dead brush.

I was looking at the chaparal crossing through a saddle on the highway.... Mostly Wild desert Lavendar and Chamise. Normally its dark green almost black... when its healty.... Now days 50 percent is grey to white... Even the parasite strings arent growing.... Looks like spaghetti very fine and forms a net around healthy plants.... an Orange color

None....

Growing Up, I thought that color on the hills was the real reason that California was called the Golden State!

Wow, I thought she was gonna stomp that baby chicken!

That particular chicken is a three month old ko shamo cockerel, and he's not afraid of her like the others are - they headed right back into the coop when she ran at them, but he ignored her. Darn breed is fearless is takes on anything. She was making a point, I think. She's never seriously threatened to stomp any of them. She just thinks it's fun to chase them when she gets into high spirits like that.

If she ever seriously goes after one, they'll be separated immediately.

 Was that you whistling or Ciara?

That was Berrigan :p Crying like always.

Speaking of, his name might get changed back to Desmond. As he's aging Berrigan isn't fitting his personality so much any more.

Oh, since it's been stupidly hot up here, I've been keeping all kinds of pools and waterers out and changing them often to keep them fresh and cool, even putting ice in them. Lots of good options to swim in or lay in to keep cool.

So of course when Ciara got hot she chose to cool down by rolling around in muddy water by the fence.

And that is, again, Berrigan crying in the background
