Guess I'm gonna have to play egg hunt this year, sigh. Well, maybe she'll take the hint and lay in the barn for me. We'll see, I suppose.

Luckily, LimpyChick is in the clip, or it would be a non-ratite post. I found this joey in a fence; carried it a mile home; and bandaged it. It stayed overnight, and this morning headed into the bush -- with its little white bandage on.

Literally knee-high, it took defensive postures against all comers.

Ciara gave me a Christmas gift today. A nice still-warm egg - that she laid in the shelter!

It's been varying. At this point usually four or five days. I'm hoping she gets on a schedule of every three days so I know when to look, haha.
