My understanding, as far as ratites go, Emu's are the nicest and casowarys are scary for zookeepers if they have to mess with them... Not too distantly related to the Terror Bird if I'm not mistaken... Apparently the problem is that they are easily spooked but, rather than running away, they attack whatever startled them... Beautiful birds though.

So DNA results are in and we have a brother and sister pair. Was wishing they were the same sex cause I don't want inbreeding so gonna have to test the others and make some decisions.

Bummer I'm waiting for C's results back. If C turns out to be a boy and you decide you want to move the girl on to another home, I'd definitely be interested.

All babies are now together and loving the outside. Pretty sure we will have to sell one as they say they need to stay in even numbers of male and female. Little sad that we will have to sell one.

Oh and V1 has comeback as female, so we have a boy and two girls now. Two more to test, the larger chicks, P1 and P2.

No they all get along great. When they all get running the big ones sometimes accidentally wipe them out but no picking or aggression when it comes to feeding.
