Black and White(sorry for the uncreative name) Is having a custody battle against my Geese. All of my goslings died so now the stupid Geese wants to parents Chessboard babies thinking its theirs. A lot of fighting happens but 4 of the ducklings already imprints on the Geese. So the kids divides into 2 groups because of custody battle. I already separate the ducks and Geese but the ducklings who imprints on the Geese stays with the Geese.

Hoping this works out. To prevent the adults from fighting, I would just separate the geese with their chosen babies, and the ducks with their remaining babies.

Problems that may arise is ducklings getting trampled during fighting. Keep mama duck separated with the ones that are imprinted on her and if you can get the other ducklings in with her where they can't see the geese they may bond with the ducklings with the mama duck. But make sure mama duck will accept them back. Complicated I know but the welfare of those ducklings is priority. My gander stepped on a tiny duckling once by accident and killed it. Now mama ducks and ducklings are kept separated from geese until at least 3 weeks old.
