Quail and Rabbits/Cavy in the same hotel?

Thanks for answering that question

I see no real problem with rabbits and cavy's being raised in proximity with game birds, though I don't know the bio hazards of mixing the rabbit+cavy thing. I see no obvious harm from either that can be transmitted to game birds, I don't know if there is any bio-hazard that can harm a rabbit+cavy setup. I just don't know.

As Saddina points out...Keep their poop separate! Sound advice as far as I'm concerned!

Rabbits and Guinea pigs can be mixed. At my college, we even keep them in the same cage, but with a lot of space so there's no fighting. So I don't think there would be a problem keeping rabbits and Guinea pigs in close proximity.

WOW... NOT SURE I'D TRY THAT... I ROUTINELY COLLECT THE BODIES OF SMALLER BIRDS AND RODENTS UP TO AND INCLUDING SQUIRRELLS FROM MY RINGNECK PENS... THEM BOYZ ARE BETTER MOUSERS THAN ANY BARN CAT COULD EVER HOPE TO BE. OTHER SPECES PERHAPS? BUT MY RINGNECK BOYS GO AFTER ANY INTRUDER WITH SADISTIC GLEE. I'D BE AFFRAID OF WHAT THEY'D DO A 3 TOED FAT RAT (GUINEA PIG/ CAVY

I agree with the consensus and think this is how I will setup the hutches.

One structure, Three Compartments, side by side

#1
Quail (2-3 Male, 10-15 Females)

#2
Rabbit & Cavy Does (2 of Each)

#3
Rabbit & Cavy Buck (1 of Each)

Structure #2 will be two compartments side by side

#1 Rabbit/Cavy Babies

#2 Quail Chicks

Any Thoughts?
