I have two apparently very bonded males. We do have a spare cage to separate them in case of emergency and I’m literally next to their cage practically 24/7 to keep an eye on them but right now they’re all over each other. I’m not mad about it just wondering if any of you have experienced the same. Given they’re over 6 weeks old you’d think they’d have tried to kill each other by now if they wanted to Lol

I have two 8 month old cockerels together because I can not find a place to get rid of one. So far they tolerate and respect one another. I assume after their pulets come into lay I will have to seperate. One always crows but is scared of the other. Two sweet guys though.

These two are literally joined at the hip, it’s adorable watching them dust bathe together and preen each other and snuggle when they go to sleep. Sometimes they each stand on one leg so they can get even closer and it’s certainly not because they’re cold or anything. I mean it’s great that they’re not murdering each other but sometimes I look over and feel like I’m intruding!

They both crow but usually it’s to get attention from us. I worried they’d be overwhelmed moving from the vivarium with 3 closed off sides to a wire cage but they like observing all the goings on in the room and what we’re doing.

I have data on my phone now. They were slightly confused as to why I was putting my phone in their cage at silly hours of the night

I have had my male Darth button chase my male coturnix and hump him they are just overly mature if u give them females they will bond to then if u wait they might not 50/50

Yeah I am beginning to wonder what will happen if I were to introduce a female. I have no way of getting a hen without hatching one myself because I’m disabled, can‘t drive and nobody delivers adult birds or chicks here. The closest person with buttons is over an hour drive away and no one will sell just one or two hens as I only ever wanted a few birds, they want to sell entire flocks, Who knows if by the time I manage it, it is too late. I have no idea whether they’d reject a female or not. They’re very gentle lovers with each other though, so I’m hoping if they swing both ways they would treat a girl right.

Basically you’re saying they’re prison gay lol

Had to laugh at the thought of a little button humping a coturnix :plbb
