quail chick head stuck in shell

HI Guys. I have 12 eggs in Brinsea Mini incubator. 5 hatched successfully on day 16. one has body stuck in shell and head out and is very energetic, other has head stuck in shell and getting weary. When should I intervene and how will I stop the hatchlings from escaping if I quickly open the incubator. this is my first ever hatch.

amen.....head out bum in has got free will do what you say if bum out head in is still stuck in a couple more hours

Head stuck might be "glued" in and need to be soaked free...

Quails need feed and water pretty soon after hatch.. little hyper things... they can't wait as long as chicken chicks.

maybe try draping a towel over as you open (damp if you're worried about humidity) to keep any escapees from jumping out the wrong side as you try to collect them.
