Looking good.

Do you think you could have gotten by with half of the waters or even less?

Probably so. The people that told me about it suggeted 20-25 chicks per nipple. As usual I didnt read the instrution right the first time and put too many in.

About 400 now. The incubator holds almost 1500. My breeders are just now starting to lay that many to support a full bator.

The market her comes and goes. I didnt have hardly any calls for a month then about 15 in the last week. Some of those never showed up as they said they would. I thought about just selling eggs until the recent interest. A lot of people dont agree but I have had good luck releasing them on our farm. We haven seen a covey in over 10 years now we see them quite often.

I love that brooder!!! I'd be in such deep shhh-do-do if I built that. Where to put all the growing quail? Not to mention the feed bill for that many. I have about 125 and we just devour the feed. Gonna have to bust out more feeders and waterers as well as more cages very soon . But I do enjoy the birds.

I tried a single water bottle like you would use for a guinea pig that had that type of nipple on it and the quail wouldn't use it.

The reason I bought those was you could fill the reservoir from the outside by lifting up the top. You don't have to remove the bottle.

I wonder why ours wouldn't touch them?????
