I dont even know why I find this funny...

Agreed, i learned the hard way months ago to wait for the first candle, the misses picked this coming monday to candle the buttons which will be day 6 for them, also try to candle in under 3-5 minutes 😀 when u do less time out the better, less opens the lids get the better .
What I do with candling and the nr360, my husband lifts and replaces the lid as I take them in and out, and I operate the torch lol. He watches the temp and we keep it over 97, if it drops because we weren’t fast enough, we note the spot we stopped and continue the next night. Now we have it down to an art, 4 minutes total, tops for 44 eggs.

So I have a 3 or 4-day old egg in the incubator. I candled it just now... And it looks like something is there.. but unlike my other fertile egg, when I move the egg or tilt it, the yolk or embryo moves with it..? I'm very confused. Can you see the yolk in nonfertile eggs....?
Can one of you help? @FloorCandy @Kiki @Ravenlover @Nabiki
When I candle on day 9, I put the ones that I think will hatch on one side and the ones that I thought wouldn't hatch on the other side/mark them so I can improve my candling predictions if the marked ones hatch. I don't throw them out unless they are smelly because I don't want to risk throwing out one of my babies!

I track them with an app called Hatchabatch and it tells me when to candle (I tend to over candle because it's so egg-citing!!!), super helpful! I have some due for hatch on the 9th and I am quite sure that the ones I marked won't hatch, but everything is a chance to learn!

I think the moving thing you see is the yolk. Check this link out: www.backyardchickens.com/articles/coturnix-quail-egg-candling-guide.71783/ . Good luck with your hatch!!! :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy
