Hi there!
I am incubating some Coturnix quail for the first time, and am not sure how many I will even hatch, but in order to be ready, I went out and got something before reading how unlikely it is that the quail will use the ramp that goes up to the top level. It has a door that can be closed so I could use the upper area and lower area as two separate cages essentially. Is this worth pursuing? Or with some work is it possible I could teach them to use both levels?
Thanks for any insights!

They sort of use it as their safe space when I am in the coop to feed or change out water. I was so happy that they seemed totally fine with it! The nice part is that I can corral them on a level and shut the door to the ramp and clean one level without worrying about them escaping! It's worked out well
