Quail Coop questions

Hey there everyone!

iam pretty new to quails but ive had 3 for 6 months now, best eggs ive ever had i love keeping quails!

Anyway i finaly got their hutch out of my basement and into my big chicken coop. i also have 12 more in the bator

Soo i want to make a passage out the coop wall so they can go outside into a covered run as they please, but iam wondering

Will quail climb a 36 inch high ramp?
Will quail go inside at night?
Will quails dig at the edges of the run and "Tunnel out"?

To the best of my knowledge:

• Coturnix will use ramps if trained, but it's much much harder to train them than it is chickens
• They do not typically seek shelter at night. In my experience, they find the most open spot in the whole run and bed down in a group, very exposed.
• I've never seen one dig deep enough to make a true hole—they love to scratch, but their legs just aren't that powerful

Yeah okay, that puts a wrench in the idea. i might just make a bigger indoor hutch then. or move the hutch to the floor
