Quail egg swap

I bet you will get a bunch of hits if you post them in the hatching egg BST. I am waiting for spring so I can check for fertility and make sure I dont screw people over. I have such a guilty conscience

I've heard that they don't... I know mine won't I made her a little nest box and was constantly putting her in to it but she refused to stay... She wouldn't even lay her eggs in any sort of a nest... She just lays them all over the pin...

Nope they dont get broody easily unless you give them good hiding places. I made a little hut out of none other than mcdonalds cup trays. I put them up in an upside down V then put tape on them to hold them together, and then with a peice of kitchen nonslip rubber stuff I taped that on the side to make a sort of cover entry...heres a picture of it...my trio LOVE It...im hoping they lay in there

Front with two hens out "front" that little hole is where they enter and exit:

Backside, that red "gait" thing i forget what it used to be but whatever it was I knew it'd come in handy some day and it did lol it stabilizes the cupholder-teepee! LOL!:

But still tht doesnt mean they'll go broody. As one breeder put it "they're broody or they're not" luck of the draw kind of thing I guess. It's way cute when they do though!

they climb all over it btw it's really cute , but mostly they just hide in it when tehy get scared or are tired, otherwise they're "out front" eating and calling
